Try this Kielbasa Sausage with Spiced Sauerkraut recipe, or contribute your own.
Combine onion, sauerkraut, wine, bay leaves, caraway seeds and peppercorns in heavy large saucepan. Cover and simmer mixture 30 minutes. Add sausage and simmer 20 minutes. Discard bay leaves and serve. Serves 4. Bon Appetit October 1992
GraniteLaura 2y agoMay be the best I've ever had. I changed some things - didn't have any caraway, used fresh-ground pepper instead of peppercorns, added a cut-up apple and some brown sugar - but was absolutely blown away. Will double the recipe next time.

Geeber98 4y agoAn old standby. And lots of ways to vary. Riesling works, but if you want a dryer version can use Chardonnay or Pinot grigio. Also dice up an apple and add couple whole all spice. Ca
irish112 7y agoSuch flavor! I thought the combination of sauerkraut with the wine would be over-powering but it ended up having a lovely sweet flavor. I served it over brown rice and my fussy husband, who doesn't like kielbasa, loved it.
wbmccarty 8y agoI doubled the recipe, except for the onion, which I'd probably double next time. I also omitted the carraway seeds. No surprises: tasty.
