Suggest a better descriptionPrepare spaghetti sauce as directed on package using tomato paste. Brown ground beef and drain well. Add salt and pepper. Mix the ground beef and sauce and simmer on low for about 30 minutes. Cook lasagna noodles as directed on package.
Layer a 9x13 pan as follows:
Thin layer of sauce
Layer of noodles
Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese
Spoon on ricotta cheese
Repeat with sauce, noodles and cheeses.
Top with sauce and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until bubbling.
Let lasagna sit for at least 10 minutes before cutting.
Note:
I always make this recipe with larger quantities than recipe calls for. I usually at least double everything so I can make more than one tray. I also add a lot more of the cheeses.
