Suggest a better descriptionBrown hamburger, onion and garlic; drain. Combine hamburger mixture, 2 Tbsp parsley, sugar, basil, salt, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, tomatoes, tomato sauce and tomato paste. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, about 45 minutes.
Cook noodles as directed on package; drain. Mix cottage cheese, 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, and 1Tbsp parsley and oregano. If using ground oregano use 1/2 tsp.
Spread 1 cup sauce mixture in ungreased 13x9inch baking pan; top with noodles. Spread 1/3 of cheese mixture over noodles, top cheese mixture with 1 cup mozzarella cheese, then spread with 1 - 1 1/3 cups sauce mixture. Repeat twice with the noodles, cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese & sauce mixture. Top with remaining noodles and sauce mixture. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese & 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until bubbly. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
