Easier than making the real thing and taste just as good

"Its a good and a simple recipe but mine did come up too much liquid. I am thinking this is because instead of actual measurements it just says to use a tin of tomatoe soup and a tin of water but not wat size. Not your goof just mine so maybe just a 12 ounce soup can was too big."


Ingredients

Are you making this? 
3 cups Cabbage; coarsley shredded
1 pound Lean ground beef
1 Onion; sliced
1 tin Tomato soup
1 tin Water
6 tablespoons Long grain rice
1 tablespoon Salt

Original recipe makes 4

Servings  

Preparation

Pre heat oven to 325 degrees.

Cook beef until no longer red add rice to meat.

Layer meat ,onions and cabbage in casserole.

Mix tomatoe , water and salt and pour over casserole.

Bake1-2 hours in covered casserole

When I made this I used beef broth in place of the water. I rinsed out the soup can with the broth which gives you 1 1/2 cans of liquid which keeps it from being dry. So easy and good to take for pot-luck dinners.

I tried this recipe twice and was disappointed both times. Either too sloppy or too dry. But the taste is nice.

Tasted great and just like the cabbage rolls my grandmother used to make except a little too much salt. Will definitely make again just with less salt.

This was excellent and so easy. Instead of Ground Beef I used TVP to make it Vegatarian and made my own quick sauce. This is a keeper for sure!
