4 lg Potatoes; boiled
1 ts Allspice
Bread crumbs
1 ts Salt
2 tb Butter
1/4 c Pine nuts
1/2 c milk
1/2 lb Lamb meat
1 sm Can mushrooms; chopped
1 ts Salt
1 Onion; chopped
2 tb Butter; cut in sm. pieces

Original recipe makes 1



Mash potatoes with butter, salt, and milk. Prepare filling. Fry meat with seasonings. Add onions. Add pine nuts and mushrooms. Fry well. Spread 1/2 of potato mixture in bottom of greased pan. Spread filling over. Cover with remaining potatoes. Dot with butter. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Bake at 250 degrees for 25 minutes. Cut in squares to serve. Mmm, so delicious and easy to make! I have to say the combination of the tender ham with the buttery mushrooms and slightly acrid taste of pine nuts is a fantastically unique blend! I could not in any way get the kids to eat the nuts however,, they kept picking them out. My husband and I loved it though! I give this a solid "B" rating.
