Suggest a better description1) Combine spread & butter. Add sugar & salt. Beat egg w/ vanilla. Slowly add flour & lemon peel.
2) Divide dough in half. Shape each half into 8" logs. Sprinkle nuts on a pan & roll logs over nuts. Wrap logs & chill for 2 hours.
3) Preheat oven to 350*. Cut logs into 1/4" slices. Place onto an non-greased pan, 1" apart.
4) Bake 8-10 minutes.
5) Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon peel & milk.
6) Let cool 1 minute before transferring to a cooling rack.
7) Drizzle with lemon icing.
I always use room temperature ingredients when baking to insure correct setting. Except when cutting cold butter into flour for flaky crust.
