Lemonade Ice Cream Pie

Ready in 4 hours 10 minutes

With any ice cream dish, you'll want to make this way ahead. The ice cream needs a little time to defrost and soften and a lot of time to harden back up. I found that the Breyers creamy ice cream doesn't need any thaw time. This is so good. It's so refreshing for summer too. It came from a Country Time ad, so thanks Country Time Lemonade.

"So yummy and easy. Made for company and got more raves than the other dessert I slaved over. Go figure. Thanks!"

2 cups vanilla ice cream; softened
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup presweetened lemonade mix; like the Country Time powder
1 container container cool whip topping; 8 oz
1 oz
6 drops yellow food coloring; optional

Original recipe makes 8 Servings

1) In a small cup, combine water and lemonade until powder is completely dissolved. Mix well into vanilla ice cream using an electric mixer.

2) Fold in whipped topping and food coloring by hand.

3) Spread into pie crust evenly.

4) Freeze for at least 4 hours. Allow to set out for 15 minutes before serving.

Pie is a little too rich for my taste but I will make it again. Pie shell missing from ingredient list.
