The absolutely most flavorful pumpkin pie ever!

"When my husband and I had our first Thanksgiving I made a pumpkin pie. He did not want any, but I made him try it anyway. I used this recipe. He came back for seconds and thirds. He said it was the best pumpkin pie. Now I use this recipe anytime I make any variation to a pumpkin pie."

Ingredients

1 9 inch Unbaked deep dish pie shell
3/4 cups Granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon Ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon Ground cloves
2 Eggs
1 can (12 oz) Evaporated milk
1 15-oz can pumpkin; 100% pure

Preparation

(from the can of Libbys Pumpkin) Combine sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and cloves in medium bowl. Beat eggs lightly in bowl. Stir in pumpkin and sugar-spice mixture. Gradually stir in evaporated milk. Pour into pie shells.

Bake in preheated 425 degree oven for 15 minutes. Reduce temperature to 350 degrees; bake for 40 to 50 minutes more or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

Cool on wire rack for 3 hours. Serve immediately or chill (do not freeze).

My grandmother used to make this pumpkin pie every year for Thanksgiving. It reminds me of her, plus it tastes great too! I serve it with Cool Whip. And it is better the next day!

This is the tastiest pumpkin pie I've had in my life. It tastes even better the next day too. It tastes good with a dollop of coolwhip on top too.
