Suggest a better descriptionIn a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, butter and vanilla extract. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered six minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Add eggs. Mix until well-blended.
Preheat oven to 350F. Place pecans in pie shell. Pour sugar mixture over pecans and bake 50 to 60 minutes or until pie is set in center.
TIP: When a recipe calls for lightly beaten eggs, beat them with a fork or a wire whisk until yolks and white are well-blended.
