Ma Hensley's recipe for pecan pie just can't be beat! Make a few and freeze them after baking for the holidays.

"This was an excellent pecan pie recipe. I did add cocoa powder, which made it even better. I didn't have light karo syrup, so went with dark & it was still delicious. Next time, I'll only cook it for 45-50 minutes at 350, but then my oven is a bit temperamental. I'll fix this pie often. Thanks for the great recipe!"

Ingredients

1/2 cup Sugar
2 ea Egg
2 tablespoon Flour
1 cup Light Karo syrup
1 cup Pecans; broken in halves
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 cup Butter; softened
1 each Pillsbury pie crust; unbaked

Original recipe makes 8

Servings  

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a pie dish with non-stick cooking spray and arrange the pie shell in the dish. Put the pecans in the pie shell and combine the remaining ingreadients in a medium mixing bowl, mixing well. Pour the liquid mixture over the pecans and bake for one hour. Serve with ice cream.
