Cook pasta and drain pasta. Puree tofu in blender until smooth, transfer to saucepan, add margarine and cheese, and bring to gentle simmer, stirring often; add pureed sweet potato, if using. Cook over low heat until cheese melted. Combine macaroni and sauce in container and stir together. Season with salt.
