I wish I could call Doreen and thank her for this recipe. I learned this from her back in our University days at Woodbury University. My boys love it and don't care for any other recipe I've tried.
Cook the macaroni and drain. Mix the first six ingredients together. Get a large casserole dish. I use the largest Pyrex French ware one I have. Then grease up the sides nice and thick with the butter. Now you're ready to assemble.
First put down a layer of mac followed by a layer of shredded cheese. Repeat till all is used up. Take your egg milk mixture give it one more whisk and then pour over the top. Till almost full. Cover and bake on 350 for 30 minutes. If you like that crispy cheese then we take the top off add a bit more cheese and let it cook for another 10 to 15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 10 or 15 minutes if you like your tongue and taste buds. LOL Serve.
