Suggest a better descriptionCook manicotti shells. Mix ricotta, eggs, mozzarella, parsley, and Italian seasoning. (Salt & pepper to taste) Spray a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Fill shells and lay in the pan. Cover manicotti with 1 jar of marinara sauce. Cover with foil and cook or freeze. (Recipe makes 2 pans)
*You can also use the filling recipe to spread on cooked lasagna noodles, then roll them up and place in a pan.
To cook now:
Bake, covered, at 350° for 45 minutes.
To cook from frozen:
Straight from the freezer. Bake, covered, at 350° for 1 hour, then uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is browned. (You can freeze these without the sauce. Just pour the sauce on before you bake it. It cuts down a little on the cooking time.)
Thawed first. Bake, covered, at 375° for 20 minutes, then uncovered for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is browned.
