Ready in 45 minutes
This is an excellent sauce for waffles, pancakes, french toast, ice cream....anything you like. Go wild.
In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Gradually blend in maple syrup and water.
Cook, stirring, until thick and bubbly, about 1 minute. Stir in blueberries, lemon juice and nutmeg. Cool slightly.
Spoon onto pancakes, waffles, ice cream etc..
Top with Whipped cream, if desired.
Be sure to use 100% pure maple syrup.

Buckeye_Mama 4y agoDelicious! Didn't have real maple syrup, so had to use mrs butterworth instead. Also used an immersion blender after letting the blueberries simmer for about 5 minutes and turned it into blueberry syrup.
