Try this Maple Syrup recipe, or contribute your own. "Low-fat/cal" and "Diabetic" are two tags used to describe Maple Syrup.
In a 2-cup glass measure, combine cornstarch, sugar, salt and cold water. Microwave on 100% power (High) 2 to 3 minutes or until syrup is clear and thickened, stirring every minute during cooking. Stir in maple flavoring. Cool; refrigerate tightly covered. Makes 1 cup 1 tb serving - 4 calories 1 gram carbohydrate, 0 g protein, 0 g fat.
