Hearty and easy stuffed pasta shell dish to feed a crowd.
Cook pasta shells according to package directions. In a large skillet, saute onion and garlic in butter. Add ground beef and saute together. Cook sausage separately, drain and set aside to cool. Mix both meats together in a large bowl. Stir in bread crumbs and set aside to cool. Blend egg, parmesan cheese, nutmet and salt and pepper, to taste. (I added some mozzarella cheese, too).
Pour 1/2 jar of spaghetti sauce into greased 2 quart baking dish. Using a small spoon, carefully fill each shell with the meat filling. Place stuffed shells side by side, filling side up, into the baking dish. Spoon remaining sauce over shells; sprinkle with parmesan and mozzarella cheese, to taste. Cover and bake @ 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
