Spicy middle eastern soup. Can use regular meatballs or lamb meatballs.
Meatballs
Place first group of ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Dampen your hands and shape into walnut size balls. Set aside to cook in soup.
Soup
Heat oil and butter in large soup pot over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until,softened about 5 min. Add celery, bell pepper, coriander, paprika, garam masala, salt and turmeric. Add tomatoes. Stir well sauté until moisture has evaporated and oil has begun to seep to top About 15-20 min. Remove pan from heat and blend with stick blender until smooth.
Add meatballs and return to heat, cooking on low heat and stirring occasionally for 10 min
Add parsley, lime juice and garbanzo beans, boil for 2 min.
Can use white beans and regular meatballs.
