Simple, fast and tasty side dish!
"This was so good! I couldn't eat enough of it! My husband also really liked it and said it reminded him of the rice he used to have when he lived in Guam. It was really easy to make! I didn't have any salsa so I used a cup of Rotel, but a cup ended up being a whole can. Also, I drained the Rotel before I put it in. I'm definitely making this again! And sharing this recipe with my friends."
In large fry pan saute instant rice in vegetable oil until golden. Add water, sauce, salsa, sugar, salt, pepper and lemon juice, stir. Cover and simmer 10 min.
kellyjohnson2 1y agoVery easy and very tasty! I feel like it needs something added though. Maybe it's because it's meatless. I would definitely make it again!
MaeJane 2y agoVery good! I used mild salsa and it was a good fit for my 2 and 4 year old, not too spicy, but flavorful enough for me and my husband.
nutbugs 2y agoThis was a hit with my family. Next time I plan to add some TVP to it to have more of a hamburger helper feel to it. Very Yummy!

drrecipes 3y agoMade this today and it was really yummy and really easy. Used rotel instead of salsa and lime juice instead of lemon juice. Thanks so much for sharing. Will definitely make again.
kirbybdj 4y agoToo watery at first -- I substituted 1 8oz can of tomato paste in place of tomato sauce family loves it :)
megstwin 4y agoThis is becoming a go to recipe for me to make to go along with tacos, enchiladas, or chicken. It is so easy to make and you can really jazz it up by adding onion, fresh tomato, cilantro, and lime or lemon.
