Mexican style meat that can be used in tacos, taco salad, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas... even philly cheese steaks. Or just a great flavorful meat to put on any salad!!
Put frozen or thawed meat into the crock pot with a sauce or broth and season accordingly. After 8 hours meat should be very tender and easy to work with. For most dishes go ahead and shred the meat.
Recommended seasoning:
Tacos
- taco seasoning, or (chili powder,cumin,paprika,&garlic for MSPI)
-one bottle of Ortega Taco Sauce
**Shred the meat and put it in tacos or on taco salad
Enchiladas
- taco seasoning or (chili powder,cumin,paprika,&garlic for MSPI)
- one can of enchilada sauce (or taco sauce/salsa for MSPI)
**Shred the meat and put it in tortilla shells with some cheese. Place shells in a pan and pour additional taco/enchilada sauce on the top. Top with cheese if desired and bake until cheese is melted
Burritos
- Beef or Chicken broth
- taco seasoning or (chili powder,cumin,paprika,&garlic for MSPI)
- add other desired ingredients such as beans
**Shred the meat and add cheese. Put it in burrito shells and if you want to make sure the cheese gets melted or keep them warm... place shells in a pan and bake until desired warmth.
Fajitas
- Beef or Chicken Broth
- Steak Seasoning
- Add desired veggies such as green, red, yellow peppers
**Cut or shred meat and add to tortillas to eat
Philly Cheese Steaks
- Beef or Chicken Broth
- Steak Seasoning
- Add desired veggies such as green, red, yellow peppers
**Cut or shred meat and add to a hoagie bun. Top with cheese if desired.
