Ready in 1 hour

These delicious holiday treats go by many names, but whatever you call them, they are a Christmas favorite at our house and the cookies that disappear first. This recipe was passed down from my husband's Danish grandmother, Myra.

1/2 cup Butter
3 tablespoon powdered sugar
1/2 cup Pecans; chopped
1 cup Flour; sifted
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 pinch Salt

Original recipe makes 2 Servings

Cream butter. Add sifted flour and stir. Then add salt, powdered sugar, vanilla and chopped pecans. Roll into teaspoon size balls and press down with fork making a criss-cross pattern on cookie. (Sometimes this is easier when you first dip the fork into a small amount of powdered sugar) Bake at 350 degrees until deliciously brown around edges. Approximately 10 to 12 minutes. Upon removing cookies from oven (while still warm), dip them into a bowl of powdered sugar until covered.
