2. Place potatoes and 2 cups milk into microwave safe dish.
3. Cook in microwave for 11 minutes.
4. Stir and cook 11 more minutes.
5. Whisk cream cheese and remaining milk together. Add melted butter.
6. Add mixture to potatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
7. Add shredded cheese and cook 1 minute to melt cheese.
Add cooked bacon pieces if desired
