Mince Cookies
Mom made these every year.
Cream shortening, gradually add sugar beating until fluffy. Add dry ingredient and mix well.
Spread half of mixture in a greased shallow pan. Press down firmly.
Spread mincemeat over oats.
cover with remaining oats, and press firmly.
Bake in a moderate oven 350 for 30 to 40 minutes. Let stand until cold and cut into squares.
