Preheat the oven to 220C. Grease 6 x 1cup capacity ovenproof pudding bowls and line the based with greased non-stick baking paper. Make 6 more greased paper circles to fit as lids. Sift the flour, baking powder, cocoa and cinnamon into a small bowl. Add the almond meal and stir to combine. Place the butter and sugar in the bowl of an electric mixer and beat until light and fluffy. Gradually add the eggs and beat, followed by the dry ingredients, then the milk.
Pour the mixture into the pudding bowls and gently press the lids, buttered-side down, onto the pudding mixture. Cover each bowl with foil. Place the bowls in a baking dish and add enough hot water to come halfway up the side of the pudding bowls.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes or until a skewer inserted into a pudding comes out clean.
To serve, run a round-bladed knife around the edge of the puddings and turn out onto warm plates. Serve with warm cinnamon custard.
