Suggest a better descriptionIn medium bowl, sift flour, soda, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and salt. Set aside.
In large bowl, with electric mixer, beat sugars and margarine on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in molasses and egg until well combined. Gradually add flour mixture and beat until blended. Cover and chill for 1 hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Form dough into 1 inch balls. Roll each in sugar; place on greased cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand 1 minute. Remove cookies to wire rack to cool.
