1. Measure hot water into bowl. Add butter, salt and egg. Combine flour with liquids and knead until smooth. Heat cast iron skillet very hot. Placeover dough. Meanwhile pare and slice apples. Combine with sugar and cinnamon. After skillet cools, put dough in center of large floured cloth. Roll dough very thin. Dot with butter. Spread apples, cinnamon sugar,raisins, bread crumbs and nuts. Roll as for jelly roll. Cut in two. puton greased cookie sheets. Cook at 350 for 1 hour. Baste with butter every15 minutes.
