This is the best recipe for no bake cookies I have ever tried. It's great with or without the nuts and coconut!
"I made these quick and easy cookies with my nieces. They turned out wonderfully and were ready to eat in about an hour. The girls followed the recipe as written but did omit the optional nuts and coconut. Also, after dropping them onto the wax paper lined sheets, they used the back of a spoon to smooth the mounds out a bit, flattening them into more of a cookie shape (see photo). The girls loved them!"
In large saucepan, combine sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Heat, stirring frequently until boiling. Boil 1-2 minutes; remove from heat and cool 1 minute. Stir in peanut butter, vanilla & salt and mix well. Add oatmeal (and nuts/coconut if desired). Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper and let cool until it hardens.
KarinRyan 1y agoSuper good. Funny that someone said they were too sweet... I added a bit more sugar to make them a mix between cookies and fudge. Absolutely scrummy. Also- some prefer softer cookies (just use less oats) and some like 'em harder. Keep playing with the amount to get perfect results.
tessElwell123 1y agoThese are very easy to make , however i found them tooo sweet... My grandmother used to make these and I honestly cant remeber if they were this sweet.. Yhanks for the recipe though..

Lemonhead6996 2y agoGreat recipe! I've made them with and without the coconut, used crunchy peanut butter. Both great! Kids love them as we'll as adults
Aimeelady 2y agoIts a really easy recipe to make, a no brainer if you need something quick. I put them in the fridge to speed up the hardening time.
