"First time making homemade brownies and these were delicious! First off, you don't have to add nuts to this...I hate nuts in my brownies, so I added some leftover mini chocolate chips I had sitting in my cabinet. Also, I have gestational diabetes, so I took another reviewer's advice and added whole wheat flour instead of white. Couldn't tell the difference if you tried! So they ended up being tasty AND healthier! Will DEFINITELY be making these again! :)"

3/4 c Cocoa
1 c Butter
1 c Brown sugar
1 c Walnuts; (or pecans), Chopped *
3 lg Eggs
1 c Sugar
1 1/2 ts Vanilla
1 c Flour
1 1/2 ts Baking Powder

Original recipe makes 1

Melt butter. In separate bowl, mix together sugars and cocoa. Add melted butter. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Add flour and baking powder. Add vanilla and nuts. *DO NOT OMIT NUTS!!!! The brownies are noticeably moister WITH the nuts. The recipe calls for walnuts, but I prefer pecans (must be because Im in Georgia). Bake in 9"x13" pan 30 mins at 350 degrees F. File

I have made these many times for family, friends and office parties. Always a hit! Thanks for an easy, delicious recipe. This is definitely my go-to!

You definitely can omit some of the sugar, especially bc brown sugar is very sweet...not to mention the sugar in chocolate. Also adding shaved coconut to the mix(if you like coconut) will also add some sweetness. Just a few tips!

Best tasting and easiest recipe for brownies that I've found on this app. Won't be using any other! These were a huge hit with my family.
