Ready in 25 minutes

You thought red wine was good?? Throw some brandy in it and it gets better... Add spices and heat and you've got a holiday treat!

8 cups red wine; (merlot or cabernet sauvignon)
0.5 cup Brandy
4 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp whole cloves
1 juice of an orange; or to taste
1 cup granulated sugar; or to taste

Original recipe makes 8

*Pour wine into large pot, place on stove top and turn temperature to LOW. You just want to heat it up. NEVER BOILING!

*add Brandy (the more the better by the way)

*add nutmeg and stir in

*place whole cloves in a tea/spice strainer and add in

*juice the orange over the pot and stir in

*add in sugar to taste

Keep stirring and simmering your mixture. Don't over heat it! Keep it nice and low and let your kitchen fill with delicious smells... then drink it all and be merry.

I poured the entire pot down the drain after one glass. My husband and I couldn't get over the burning sensation in our sinuses.
