A Christmas time favorite!
Dough: Warm the milk slightly. Dissolve the yeast in the warmed milk. Once completely dissoved, add the eggs. Cut in the margarine which should be brought to room temperature first. Blend in the flour until all ingredients come together. Wrap with plastic wrap and chill for at least three hours (overnight is fine).
Filling: Finely chop walnuts in food processor. Place walnuts in a large bowl, add the sugar, and enough milk to bring the ingredients together into a paste-like consistency.
Rolls: Roll pieces of dough into small balls - about the size of a 50-cent piece (or ask Karlier, she's the expert). Roll the dough ball in powdered sugar, then flaten into a circle.
The powdered sugar will melt on the dough so apply it liberally. Be sure some powdered sugar remains on the dough - it's one of the best parts when you eat these!
Place a tsp of the nut mixture into the center of your flat circle. Fold one side of dough over the nut mixture then roll the dough and mixture into a log shape. Be sure to seal the ends by pinching them and add a slight curve to the log shape.
Bake at 375 degrees or 7 to 8 minutes.
