Ready in 3 hours

This homemade bread is delicious. I use the bread machine to knead and rise the dough and then I place it in a bread tin and bake it in the oven.

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick cooking oats
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup buttermilk; (sour cream)
2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
1 egg
1/4 cup water; (110 degrees F/45 degrees C) warm
2 tablespoons Honey

Original recipe makes 6

Combine all the dry ingredients, mix together. Add wet ingredients and mix all together. Dough will be sticky. Put in Bread Machine and put on Dough setting. Once the machine is done, leave dough in machine and let rise for 1 hour. Once done rising form dough into a rectangle, put in a greased bread pan. Cook at 350 for 45 minutes.

So very easy to make, it is not chunky like some multigrain breads can be, perfect hint of sweetness! Tis a HUGE hit in our house! Even my picky children love it!

I use 1/4 Cup Buttermilk powder and 1 cup water in place of the buttermilk. [I posted this recipe.]
