Oaty Apple Crisp

Ready in 45 minutes

Perfect for fall or as a hearty winter treat, this is a delicious mix of apples and crispy rolled oats.


1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
5 medium apples; (up to 6)
1 cup Rolled oats
1 cup light brown sugar; firmly packed
1/3 cup Flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter; (melted)
vanilla ice cream
OR whipped cream

Original recipe makes 6



Preheat oven to 375.

Coat 3-quart baking dish lightly with butter.

Combine sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl and mix well.

Peel and slice apples. Add apples to sugar mix and coat well. Spoon into baking dish.

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour and salt. Add butter, stirring with fork until crumbly.

Spread crumb mixture over apples.

Bake until brown and bubbly, about 30 minutes.

Spoon into bowls and top with ice cream or whipped cream.


Apple desserts go great with ham, pork roast, or pork chops!
