Cream butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and beat. Add milk, vanilla, salt, baking powder and flour a little at a time until stiff enough to roll out. Pinch off dough and roll on floured board to 1/4 inch thick. Use small plate to cut cakes out. Bake on top of stove in skillet until brown. Cook apples until soft and mash. This makes 20 cakes or layers. Put together with the apples one layer at a time. Leave the top without apples. Place the mixture on the sides. Stores for 2-3 days.
