Orange juice with a hint of vanilla gives this smoothie a delightful flavor.

"I teach a cooking camp for our school's summer program and when we started this recipe they cringed at the OJ and milk combination. Our rule is try something new and they loved it. The front office staff was coming back looking for samples and asking for the recipe. My own kids beg for this refreshing treat. It makes my heart smile because this is the treat my mom would buy my brother and me at the mall if we were good while she shopped. Thanks for posting!"

Dairy Free: substitute coconut milk. I also used Agave Nectar instead if sugar. Just as yummy! I made individual batches of them in mason jars so the kids could just add ice and pop it on the blender whenever they wanted a refreshing snack. (Just tell them to get over the ugly appearance of OJ and milk separating and looking a bit chunky. Once it is all blended it is smooth and frothy again. ) NOTE: Small mason jars will fit on a blender.
