Ready in 15 minutes

This is a great way to add some flavor to brown rice and enjoy as a side dish. You can also add additional vegetables or chicken to make a main dish. This is a low fat, healthy dish.

2 tsp Olive Oil
1 tsp Garlic; Minced
1 tbsp Low-Sodium Soy Sauce
1 1/2 tsp Ginger; Ground
2 cups Water
2 cubes Chicken Bouillon
2 cups Quick Cook Brown Rice
1/4 medium Vidalia or Sweet Onion; coarsly chopped
1/4 cup Carrots; julienned

Original recipe makes 5

Boil water then add chicken bouillon, soy sauce, ginger and garlic and let sit.

This was delicious! Instead of using a crock pot, because I didn't have time for that, I put all the ingredients in a Dutch oven and cooked it covered on the stove top for about 35 min. Then u removed the chicken legs, thickened the sauce and put in some broccoli Once that was tender I added back in the chicken and some pineapple chunks. We served it with brown rice and nearly licked that Dutch oven clean. I suspect we will be making this rather often.
