Merrill's Famous Oven Pasta. Makes 1 Pan of Pasta.
Red Sauce: Brown onion, sausage and olive oil in a large sauce pan. Once brown, pour in sauce. Add peas and spices and 1/4 cup water. Bring to a boil then turn down to low and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Pasta: Put on to boil about 30 minutes before sauce is done. Cook until tender but not well done.
White Sauce: Ricotta, a tablespoon of milk.
In a deep cake pan put sauce on bottom, add some pasta, add more red sauce, add eggs and mozzarella, add more pasta, red sauce, ricotta & parmesan, pasta, red sauce on top. Sprinkle parmesan on top.
Cook uncovered for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Last 5-8 minutes, sprinkle mozzarella on top. You will know when it is done when the sides start to bubble.
