In a large skillet, brown ground beef and onions over medium high heat. Drain off excess liquid. Return to pan and add chilies, refried beans, tomato sauce, and taco seasoning. Mix well and cook until it isn't runny.
Spoon the meat mixture into the shells and place in a 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle cheese on top of meat. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cheese has melted and tacos are heated through.
Remove from oven and top with lettuce, sour cream, etc.
