Ready in 35 minutes

We love these to snack on, and I'm making some today for Super Bowl snacks.

1 16 ounce Bryan Cocktail Smokies; smoked sausage
2 8 ounce Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
American or cheddar cheese; as required, grated or sliced
dipping sauce dipping sauce; if desired

Original recipe makes 0

Unroll crescent rolls, and slice into strips. Place one smoked sausage and a little cheese, if desired, into the middle of the strip of crescent dough. Roll it up, and mash to secure. Place seem side down on a baking sheet. Continue this process until all of the dough and smokies are gone. Heat oven to 375 degrees, and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown. Transfer the piggies to a service dish.

You can add some grated cheese or sliced cheese cut to fit inside each pig. I make some with cheese, and some without.

Alert editor

Slice dough into strips, and arrange coctail smokies and cheese on the stips of dough.

Roll them up.

Gently mash to seal at the seam.

Place seam side down on a cookie sheet.

Transfer to serving dish after baking.

I made for a Christmas sweater party and it was the first thing gone out of all of the food. I used habanero cheddar cheese instead. I might try rolling a jalapeño pepper on the inside next time for a little more flavor and kick.
