Instead of cannelini beans and sausage, this favorite Italian recipe uses pepperoni and garbonzo beans.
In a large sauce pan, cook pepperoni until it renders most of its fat, drain fat. Return pepperoni to pan, add seasoning and cook for 30 more seconds. Add tomato products and simmer for a couple of hours, taste for seasoning. Cook pasta, drain and add to sauce, add beans and heat. Add water if necessary for good consistency.
