these are my thoughts: superb!

Ingredients

0.5 c Butter or margarine
1 lg Egg
0.5 ts Baking soda
0.5 ts Baking Powder
0.25 ts Salt
Jam; Or Jelly
0.75 c Peanut butter
0.5 c Sugar
0.75 c Brown Sugar; Firmly Packed
1.5 c Unbleached all-purpose flour
1 ts Vanilla extract

Original recipe makes 12

Servings  

Preparation

Mix the butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla together, blending well. Blend in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt, beating until well mixed. Cover and chill for 1 hour. Heat the oven to 375 Degrees F. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place 3 inches apart on lightly greased cookie sheets. With your thumb press deeply into the center of each ball. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until set but not hard. Let cool. Spoon small amounts of jam or jelly into each thumbprint

the dough seemed a little dry but they turned out perfect. Need to press your thumb all the way down to allow a big enough depression for the jelly.
