1/2 c Granulated sugar
1 ts Baking soda
2 tb Butter
1 1/2 c All-purpose flour
1 ts Vanilla
1 pk Semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 c Brown Sugar; firmly packed
1/2 c Peanut butter
2 tb Peanut butter
1 Egg
1/2 c Butter
1 ts Salt; (opt)
3 c Old-fashioned oats; uncooked

Original recipe makes 52



1. Heat oven to 375F. Beat butters and sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add combined flour, baking soda and salt; mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips. 2. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-9 minutes for a chewy cookie, 10-11 minutes for a crisp cookie. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet, remove to wire rack, cool, store tightly covered. Makes 4-1/2 dozen cookies. From Tuscon area newspapers, 1994, 3rd quarter, courtest Mike Orchekowski. File

I reduced the oatmeal to two cups instead of three. Delish!

The ingredients used were so inviting. However, the cookies had a dry crumbly texture. Maybe add 1 more egg.
