Pears boiled in cranberry juice
Boil cranberry juice with sugar and spices in a large saucepan.
Peel the pears and pouch them in the juice about 20 min., them remove them from heat, let cool and refrigerate.
Serve well chilled.
You can reduce the juice to make it a little thicker by boiling about 15 min. after removing the pears.
Serve with a scoop of ice cream.
