Easy to make but attention to recipe detail is important.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Soften the cream cheese at room temp. Cream together in a bowl with 1 egg, 1/3 cup sugar and 1 teasp vanilla. Keep stirring and beating until smooth and creamy. In another bowl, beat together the corn syrup, 1 teasp vanilla, 3 eggs and 1/4 sugar. Mixure should be thick syrup consistency. Pour the cream cheese mix into the pie shell first. Level off and spread the chopped pecans on top. Carefully pour the corn syrup mixture over the pecans. Bake for 35-40 minutes knife inserted in the middle should come out clean.
Family tradition for over 20 years for the Holidays. Recently baked for party by my daughter. The owner and employees of Resteraunt (Better Than Sex) gave it rave reviews.
