Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Beat eggs well in medium bowl.
Add sugar, corn syrup, salt, and vanilla; beat until well combined.
Stir in butter and pecans, mixing well.
Turn into unbaked pie shell; bake 45-50 minutes, or until filling is set in center when pie is gently shaken. Let cool
Serve with whipped cream if desired.
