Penne a la Vodka

1 28-oz can crushed tomatoes
Olive oil; for frying
Salt and pepper
3 Cloves garlic; coarsely
1 sm Onions; chopped
1/2 ts red pepper flakes; Crushed
1/2 c Vodka
1 c Heavy cream; or milk

Original recipe makes 1



Heat olive oil in pan -enough for all the ingredients. Add garlic till golden brown. Add hot pepper flakes and onion. Cook 3 minutes. Add vodka and reduce liquid by half. Add tomatoes and milk- reduce until desired consistency. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour over penne pasta. Add a good shake of parmesan cheese.
