Meanwhile, heat butter in large skillet over moderate heat. Add garlic til tender but not brown. Add wine until reduced to one tablespoon-about a minute. Add cream. Increase heat to moderately high and bring to a boil. Boil for 2-3 min until the cream thickens.
Put broccoli and penne in a large bowl. Add cream sauce, parmesean and black pepper.
