Great cocktail party food or pre-dinner party snack
Preheat oven to 400 F. Unfold pastry onto floured surface.Place cheese in the center of the pastry sheet. Fold the four corners of the pastry sheet over the cheese to cover. Trim excess pastry and press to seal. Reserve scraps to decorate as desired .
Beat egg with 1 tbsp. of water. Brush seams of pastry with egg mixture to seal. Place seam side down onto baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Brush entire surface with egg mixture.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 20 minutes.
Ideally served with hot pepper jelly for garnishing as desired.
