Great when reheated too
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Bake the empty pie shell in the oven for 7 to 8 minutes.
Remove to cool.
Heat the diced onion in a small skillet until soft.
Set aside.
Beat the eggs and whipping cream until smooth.
Add the onion, ham and cheese.
Pour into the pie shell.
Bake in the 400 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325 degrees.
Bake for an additional 40 minutes or until cooked through and top is lightly browned.
Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
