Old family favorite.

"Used bacon instead of ham, only because I didn't happen to have any ham on hand, but this was a very good quiche Lorraine! Not runny, flavors melded nicely together, cooked beautifully. Family loved it! Will definitely be making this again. Paired it w/the Pizza Pasta Salad recipe from this site. Many compliments from my family."

Ingredients

Are you making this? 
1 cup Ham; diced
1/2 pound Swiss cheese; coarsely grated
5 large Eggs; lightly beaten
1 teaspoon Salt
1/8 teaspoon White pepper
Cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 3/4 cups Half-and-half cream
1 tablespoon Butter; melted
Ready-made pie shell

Original recipe makes 6

Servings  

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and precook pie shell for 5-7 mintues.

Take out of oven and add remaining ingredients that have been previously combined.

Bake uncovered for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.

Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees; continue baking until firm (approximately 20 more minutes).

Very questionable measurements, consistency was not correct
