These breadsticks go together very quickly and don't require much rising time. You can season them how you like, and they go great with many dishes. They are tender and soft on the inside and crispy on the bottom.
Preheat oven to 375*F. Mix and knead dough ingredients for 3 minutes. Let rest 10 minutes. Melt 1/4 cup of butter on cookie sheet. Flatten dough out on cookie sheet with hands. Make sure to cover all of the dough in the melted butter. Using a pizza cutter, slice the dough into strips as thick as you like them (we usually do 9-10 slices, and then cut them down the middle to make 18 - 20 sticks total) doesn't matter if the dough starts to stick back together after you cut them, it's only to score them to make them easy to tear apart when you finish baking them. Now top with your favorite seasonings. The above are the seasoning we like, I sprinkle a little of each of those to our taste on them. I usually only put the red pepper flakes on one side of sticks, so the kids can have the non spicy ones). Let raise at least 10 minutes (or longer for fluffier breadsticks). Bake @ 375* for 18 - 20 minutes or until lightly browned.
