Preheat oven to 350, lightly oil 9x5 loaf pan. Mix dry ingredients except for cinnamon and sugar, then add wet except for 1 tsp oil, and stir well. In a separate bowl, combine cinnamon, sugar, and 1 tsp oil, stir until evenly moistened, sprinkle half into batter, then fold batter over. Sprinkle the rest, then fold over again. Pour into pan, spring top with walnuts, and bake 40-45 minutes until top is golden brown. When cool, remove from pan and place on cooling rack.
